Torman has worked as System / QA Engineer in software development field for 14 years. After graduating from college, he became a system engineer and worked for several technology companies including Stratus Technologies, Lucent Technologies and Comverse Technology.
Before joining Harvard, he was a QA engineer working at MetraTech for 5 years. In 2012, Torman joined the OpenScholar project at Harvard as a QA engineer.
He was the primary QA testing and analyzing the functionalities of Openscholar until the project was lifted out in 2017. Torman has a BS degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. He also earned an associate degree in civil engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnics and worked as a draftsman / technician in several international civil and structural engineering consulting companies for 10 years before coming to the United States. In his spare time he likes clamming, kayaking, gardening and cooking.
